The culmination of "Memorial May," this iconic Dallas event is a powerful 20-hour march along the Katy Trail. You don’t have to walk the entire 20 hours; you can join for just a few miles or stop by the community rally at Reverchon Park to listen to inspirational speakers and connect with the community. 97th Annual Fort Worth Memorial Day Service

• Where: Mount Olivet Cemetery (Fort Worth)

A Tarrant County tradition dating back to 1929, this is one of the oldest Memorial Day ceremonies in the country. The service features a traditional program with military honors, patriotic music, and a keynote address by U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Richard E. "Tex" Brown III.
