Join Arch Enemy Comics for our special signing event with David and Barbara Ankrum! Arch Enemy Comics is a vintage comic shop located in Plano, Texas. We buy, sell, and trade collectible comic books, posters, and merchandise from the Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Modern Age. We are excited to be hosting David Ankrum - The Voice of Wedge Antilles/Red 2 in the original Star Wars: A New Hope! 40 years later, he was The Voice of Wedge in Rogue One as The PA Announcer on Yavin directing the rebels on a new mission to Scarif. Some of his other TV and Film credits include The Sting II with Jackie Gleason, Karl Malden and Terri Garr, Cracking Up directed by and starring Jerry Lewis, Zebra Force ( Make up by Rick Baker). David also had guest starring roles on Moonlighting, Simon And Simon, The Waltons, Alice, Murder She Wrote, and Days Of Our Lives. He co-starred as Adam Stephens in the Bewitched spinoff ABC series Tabitha opposite Lisa Hartman. He has written for TV and Film and also co-Produced a film, The Victim, starring Michael Biehn. He will be signing autographs starting at $30. We're also thrilled to be hosting Barbara Ankrum - best-selling author and a recent winner of the Golden Leaf Award! Barbara has written nearly thirty books for New York houses like Zebra/Kensington Books, Harper Collins and Harlequin Books. Twice nominated for Romance Writers of America’s RITA award, she’s been writing best-selling series for Tule Publishing for the past twelve years. Barbara has mentored writers for most of her career, both at UCLA Writers' Program, and privately. Her book “Holiday Hearts,” was made into a 2019 Hallmark Christmas movie starring Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell. Her latest Christmas book, “The Cowboy’s Miracle Baby” was nominated for a 2024 Member’s Choice Award from Australia Romance Readers Association (ARRA) and was also a finalist in the 2025 Golden Leaf Awards.
