2026 Saturday Open Water Swims

Updates based on weather conditions will always be posted here on the Facebook event page at least 1 hour prior to planned swims. The Playtri Open Water Club is the longest-running weekly open water program in the DFW Metroplex. Athletes from all over DFW and from a variety of local and national coaching programs join us every week throughout the season. Swims will only take place when reported water temperature is ABOVE 56 degrees F per the TX Parks & Wildlife measure. SWIM DETAILS: Swims every Saturday at 7:30 AM (weather permitting - we will swim in rain but NOT thunder, lightning, or wind conditions deemed unsafe by coaching/lifeguard staff). Please arrive by 7:20 AM for a prompt start. Saturday OWS is free to current Playtri athletes. Non-Playtri athletes can pay $10 cash ONLY (NO VENMO OR ZELLE) to drop-in. We offer two coached groups for skill work and longer swimming. There is a lifeguard and watercraft at every training session. We meet at the parking lot east of the RV park. Brightly colored swim cap mandatory. Wetsuits mandatory when water is below 60 degrees. Printed OWS waiver AND Playtri online waiver required to swim. Questions? Email [email protected]
